Almond & Peanut Butter Smoothie Recipe
There’s nothing better than an ice cold, energy packed smoothie before a big surf. This banana, almond milk and peanut butter smoothie is our go-to for a quick pre-surf morning treat.
It’s packed with protein and natural sources of energy, and tastes amazing too.
Smoothie Ingredients
(Serves 2- or just make one large smoothie!)
- 2 Cups of raw almond milk
- 1/2 Cup of rolled oats
- 2 Frozen bananas *
- 1 Tablespoon raw peanut butter
- 1 Teaspoon vanilla extract
- 5 or 6 Ice cubes
- 2 Scoops of organic vanilla protein powder
- 1 Tablespoon chia seeds
Method
Chuck all your ingredients into a sturdy blender (we use a Nutribullet), and blend until smooth.
Pour into a glass & drink while it’s ice cold.
Delish!
*Tip: Frozen bananas are the business when it comes to smoothies- they add an ice-cream like texture when blended, and taste pretty awesome too. We freeze our bananas whole, skin & all. When it comes time to make a smoothie, we run the frozen banana under hot water for a few seconds to soften the skin, and peel the skin off with a sharp knife- super easy!
